Personal
I grew up in Belgrade, Serbia. I attended my High School there as well as my first year at the University of Belgrade. In 2018, I have transferred to Cornell when I was recruited to play tennis and my journey in the United States began.
I have a younger brother with whom I spend a lot of time. We enjoy hanging out with our dog or playing sports together. Even though tennis is my profession, I like to play other sports as well including padel, basketball, soccer, and others. I am also a big soccer fan myself and in my free time, I like to attend as many games as I can.
I am also a big fan of traveling and languages. Serbian is my native language, but I speak English fluently, am at an advanced level in the German language, and am also a beginner in Italian. I have learned those mostly by traveling around the world, as a tourist and also as a professional tennis player. I have been to most countries in Europe and I have also visited Africa a couple of times!
Tennis
Tennis has been my passion my whole life. I started playing when I was just 6 years old, in a small club in Belgrade. When I was 14, I won my first international tournament and was ranked Top 10 in Europe. I have also ranked Top 10 in Europe in later categories, and eventually ending up being Top 100 Juniors in the world at the age of 18. I won multiple National Championships, was placed in the top 3 players in Serbia of my generation, and have represented my country in various competitions across the world. After being recruited by Cornell’s Men’s Tennis team and when I finished my successful junior career, I have decided to move to college tennis, where my passion for UX design arose later.
